“Mémoire Rêveuse”: capturing the moment, saving lives through the photographic art of Parmenas Awudza at Lomé’s Hotel Onomo
Until May 08, 2024,Lomé’s Hotel Onomo is being transformed into an artistic space to host the “Mémoire Rêveuse” charity exhibition, highlighting dreams and the link between women and children. Organized by the Yawoa Foundation in collaboration with the association Women Working for Change, Dagan magazine and Lomé’s Onomo Hotel, with the support of Ellipse Art projects, this art exhibition aims to support the healthcare of women and girls in the neonatology department of the CHU Sylvanus Olympio.

A photo exhibition and sale by Togolese Parmenas Awudza is being held from March 8 to May 8, 2024 at the Onomo Hotel. The proceeds will be used to support the health care needs of a woman or girl in the neonatal unit at the Sylvanus Oympio University Hospital.
Pacers Gallery partners Yawoa Foundation in inaugural artist-in-residence program
The inaugural residency program by Pacers Gallery, whose objective is to champion emerging talent in contemporary art across Africa, was sponsored by Yawoa Foundation, and also hosted Option Nyahunzvi Dzikamai, a Zimbabwean artist.
For many African artists, the challenge is ensuring their work is visible, getting their work and names known, and connecting with potential curators and buyers in their own countries and abroad. Estelle Dogbo, founder of the Yawoa Foundation in Nigeria, is looking to make these ambitions happen.
